About Our Team

Nicholas P. DiNatale, CPA

The firm is managed by Nicholas P. DiNatale, CPA. Nick has been providing accounting, tax and business consulting services to clients in a variety of industries since 1991. He combines this history with a technical understanding of the needs and processes of business and a practical understanding of the applicable tax regulations and procedures.

Prior to becoming a CPA, Nick had worked in a number of industries, from developing photographs for the local paper to working in an Italian bakery, and as a diesel tech for a regional transportation company. This diverse experience provides a unique insight into the ground level of how companies work and translates into an interest in and understanding of the details of your business.

Nick attended Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts and after graduation was employed as a client service professional in some of Boston’s premier CPA offices, including one of the “Boston Business Journal Top 25 CPA Firms.” In the client service professional role, Nick was the contact person for his clients, and provided a variety of tax, accounting and auditing services to closely-held businesses throughout New England.

Nick is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. He also enjoys memberships in various trade organizations.

In his free time Nick enjoys chasing striped bass with his fly rod, and going on adventures with his two children who always eat their dinners, say “please” and “thank you” and go to bed on time.

Julie M. Silverio, CPA

Julie grew up in the small (population: 2,800) New York country village or Voorheesville, just outside of Albany where there might be as many horses as there are people. She graduated from Saint Michael’s College with a major in mathematics before deciding to follow in her father’s footsteps and pursue a career in accounting. Since then she’s been in small firms and mid-sized firms, accumulating a wide variety of experience and earning her CPA license. Her clients operated in a wide variety of industries, from restaurants to construction contractors. She’s even worked on a film production. Julie also has in depth experience with human resource issues and is a Quickbooks expert. Combine all of that with Julie’s hands-on, roll-your-sleeves-up approach and you have a professional who can work with everything from start-up bookkeeping to audited financial statements.

Julie’s growing family keeps her plenty busy when she’s not in the office. She’s an avid reader but is always able to find time to skate in the local womens’ hockey league. If she had even more free time she would spend it in a barn with horses.

Michelle E. Thornton

Michelle is our Office Manager and the voice you hear when you call our office. Michelle is a graduate of Salem State College with a B.S. in Business Administration which she immediately put to use in the sales office of a Fortune 500 company. Steeling herself in the forge of a high pressure sales team, Michelle hit the ground running and learned from the best. Michelle brought her organizational experience, attention to detail and ability to control a stressful situation to our office where her abilities are welcome and put to good use.

Interesting fact: going back in time, Michelle worked for us/suffered a tax season until she left in 2005 to start her family. After a 10 year hiatus she's back and picked up right where she left off.

When she's not keeping the lid on our office, Michelle puts on her cape and takes on the role of Super Mom to her three children - able to get her kids to the hockey rink on time, and completing homework in a single bound. She is also an avid reader and a regular at her local dance school. True story!
